Dear Parents,
Thank you for visiting our Grade 1 blog. This is where you will be able to see what we have done throughout the school day and where you can access important class-specific information.
As many of you have not received information about our daily blog, I will keep this short and let you know that I am truly excited to work with you and your child this year and in the future. Grade 1 is such an important school year and I am honored to be your child's Grade 1 teacher.
Our phone systems are just being initialized, so please e-mail me at cobakkan@cbe.ab.ca with any questions. To avoid disruption to the class, calls will not be sent through to the classroom 15 minutes before and after school, nor during class time. If you need to get ahold of me and are concerned that I will not get your e-mail, please text me at (403) 671-8771. Be sure to include your first name and your child's first name only. Including your child's last name is a FOIP issue. Please feel free to send me a text when you read this, so I can add you to my contacts. You are an important part of your child's education and we need to stay in touch! Weekends are not off limits. :)
I love having parents in the class volunteering. Please make sure you have a current CBE clearance and contact me at least 24 hours in advance. The office will be able to answer any questions about security clearance.
