Dear Parents,
The students had a great day today. The weather was beautiful!
Today we continued to explore patterns in math. We also played a game on the SmartBoard called "Guess My Number." We focused on the terminology "greater than" and "less than." We used our names to represent the number of letters in our names in various ways.
We read the book, "The Dot" by Peter Reynolds and created our own "dot art." We hope to be done tomorrow, so you can see our work Thursday evening.
Reminders:
Tomorrow night is our curriculum/ parent information evening. Please come at either 6pm or 7pm.
The cold/flu season is upon us. Please make sure you keep your little ones at home if they are unwell. They have a difficult time with a whole day of school when they are under the weather. It also keeps everyone in our classroom community healthy, so thank you.
Beginning Monday, teachers will be coming out just before 8am to bring their classes in. There will be supervisors out around the school every morning at 7:45am. There will be one grade one teacher out at that time each day. Please make sure you stay with your child until 7:45am as there will be no supervision before that.
Please stay tuned for a more detailed blog on Friday and I hope to see you tomorrow!
